Summer Programs

This course emphasizes ear training and music theory using all kinds of FUN summer activities!  We will sing, dance, play rhythms instruments, make a sidewalk chalk staff, play musical hopscotch, enjoy an outdoor musical water day and much more...all while developing an 'inner ear' and introducing intermediate music theory concepts.

Class Information
For children ages 4-8*
Appropriate as an introductory course, or as a review for students who have completed the first year of Let's Play Music
Class meets 4 times a week and runs 2 weeks, M/T/W/Th, 75 minutes each
*June session tailored for ages 4-6, July session tailored for ages 5-8

Students will explore the creative side of music with instrumental ensembles, group and individual compositions and improvisation.  This course also includes the study of selected works of famous composers from classic to contemporary, and there will be short assignments to complete outside of class.

Prerequisite: Completion of Let's Play Music 2nd or 3rd year, or current piano level 1 or 2
